Refund Policy

1. Overview
Payments are processed by our payment partners — Paddle (as Merchant of Record, where Paddle operates checkout) or Stripe. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method via the processor that handled the purchase. This policy applies in addition to, and never in derogation of, your mandatory statutory consumer rights — under EU/EEA law and the Lithuanian Civil Code, and under any consumer-protection law of your country of residence that cannot be contractually overridden — including the right of withdrawal described below.
2. One-Time Purchases (Persona $30, Apex $40)
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA you ordinarily have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital purchases, with no reason required. One-time persona licences, however, are digital content that is made available immediately: the plugin can be downloaded and activated as soon as payment is processed. At checkout you give your express prior consent to that immediate supply and acknowledge that you thereby lose the 14-day right of withdrawal — as permitted by Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU and the corresponding provisions of the Lithuanian Civil Code. For that reason one-time licences are final sale and non-refundable, and we do not offer a money-back guarantee on the one-time product itself. This does not affect any other mandatory consumer right, including remedies for content that is faulty or not as described.
3. Guardrails Subscription ($19.99/month; $9.99/month intro for the first 6 months when bundled)
Guardrails is a monthly subscription — $19.99/month standalone, or $9.99/month as an introductory rate for the first 6 months when bundled with a persona or Apex, then $19.99/month. You can cancel at any time from your billing page. On cancellation request we will issue a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of the current billing period. Past billing periods are non-refundable. Automatic renewal stops immediately after cancellation.
4. How to Request a Refund
Refund requests apply to Guardrails subscriptions and statutory-rights cases only. Email [email protected] from the address associated with your purchase. Include your order ID (from your payment receipt) and a short reason if you'd like to share one — it helps us improve. Valid refund requests are typically processed within 3 business days; the funds usually appear on your statement within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
5. Chargebacks
Please contact us before filing a chargeback — we can almost always resolve refund requests faster and more simply than a dispute. Abusive chargebacks may result in account suspension.
